2018 OCEA ELECTIONS – CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The final date to submit nominations for the 2018 Election is April 15th, 2018.

Do you have a passion for Cooperative Education? Do you like to stay connected with the latest news in Cooperative Education? Would you like to expand your leadership, professional development and networking opportunities?

OCEA is currently accepting nominations for the Board of Directors and Provincial Representatives. The positions, posted on the nomination form, are to be filled by election at the Annual Business Meeting (ABM) being held at the 2018 OCEA Spring Conference in North York, Ontario.

Current, paid members of OCEA who hold a minimum of AQ Part 1 Cooperative Education are eligible to run for any position and are encouraged to do so.

Candidates MUST be nominated by a current OCEA member and MUST have their School Board’s approval to serve on the OCEA Board of Directors or as a Provincial Representative.  Nominations can be sent ahead to Eleanor MacNiven Hoecht, OCEA Vice-Chair, 2017-2018 via email: emacniven-hoecht@hpedsb.on.ca.

The names of nominees for office shall be submitted to the OCEA Vice-Chair no later than seven (7) days prior to the Annual Business Meeting (ABM). The OCEA Vice-Chair shall cause the list of nominees to be published electronically three (3) days prior to the Annual Business Meeting (ABM). Nominations shall only be accepted from the floor at the Annual Business Meeting (ABM) in the event that there are no nominations for any vacancy in the Board of Directors and/or Provincial Representative position(s) prior to the Annual Business Meeting (ABM).

NOTE: The final date to submit nominations for the 2018 Election is April 15th, 2018. Nominations shall only be accepted from the floor at the Annual Business Meeting (ABM) in the event that there are no nominations for any vacancy.
